Tate Godwin

Tate Godwin launched his career as a graphic novelist at the age of six with the creation of Blubber Boy, which was well received by his mother. He went on to write and illustrate other epic tales such as Laser Lord and Magma Man until his practical side took over and he headed off to college to study economics and play tennis. But something was missing…and BAM! POW! SHOOM!…Tate changed majors and graduated from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill with a BA in Studio Art. He lives in North Carolina, where he writes and draws comics for kids exploring friendship, facing fears, and being true to oneself. His debut kids’ graphic novel, Operation: Cover-Up, and its sequel will be published by Andrews McMeel in spring of 2025 and summer of 2026 respectively.
